Drugstore Makeup Starter Kit | PerfectlyPinkx

Hiya girlies xx

I only started getting into makeup up about year ago! The only thing I had in my collection was a powder, a mascara and that was it! I look back at it now I think I done ok with my choice.. Only because I was watching Zoella talk about makeup for about 3 years then!
I then started getting a bit more adventurous! Meaning I moved on to foundation, lipstick, eyeshadow.. But thankfully not eyebrows, that would have a been a proper disaster because quite frankly I'm still not great at doing them hehe!

I think when you are first starting out with makeup, you should stick with lighter coverage foundations, because they are much easier to blend! One rule I have is: Makeup has no rule! Except BLENDING!

-Maybelline 'Dream Flawless Nude' foundation. I really like this foundation, it doesn't require any brushes. You apply it with your hands and then your good to go!
(£7.99 from Boots)

-Collection 'Lasting Perfection' concealer. Everyone and their dogs rave about this! It's a really good concealer, easy to blend, nice coverage and great color range!
(£4.19 from Boots)

Sticking with face products, you might want some colour added!
-Sleek Blush Trio 'Pink Lemonade'. These are really good blushers! I got this because Zoella swore by them, so I was curious and had a look at them and ended up buying this trio and loved it!
(£9.99 or £5.49 for a single blusher from Boots also)

-NYC 'Smoothing Bronzer'. I have to say I was never a fan of bronzer because I was always quite scared of it! I then bought this in Liverpool at the start of the month. I really love it! It's matte and it doesn't have an orangey tinge from it which is great because it makes it easier to apply!
(£1.99 from Superdrug)

Eyes are very important part of your makeup! It brings the whole face together!

-Rimmel 'Wonder'full Argan Oil' mascara. I adore this mascara! I have said this before, it's everything you need in a mascara: volume, length and condition!
(£4.99 from Savers)

-Rimmel 'Soft Kohl Pencil' eyeliner. It is a standard black eyeliner.
(£2.99 from Boots)

-MUA 'Pro Brow'. In this product you get a wax and three different shades. It also comes with a brush and mini tweezers. I really like this product, I used to not like powder for my eyebrows but I really love this at the minute!
(£3.50 from Superdrug)

When you are ready to move onto eye shadows I recommend nothing other than the MUA eye shadows! I always speak about these but I absolutely love  them!
(Palette £4 and singles £1 from Superdrug)

Lastly for lips I have chosen my two most favorite lippies!

-Tanya Burr Lip gloss. They are gorgeous products! There are so many colours to choose from! You have everything from red to purple and everything in between! They also smell like strawberry and cream sweeties! (yummy)
(£6.99 from Superdrug)

-MUA Lipsticks. Amazing value for money! I have almost the entire collection! I am obsessed! They are really pigmented, they aren't drying, they last all day and it comes with little pot on the bottom to use as a lip liner I think!?
(£1 from Superdrug)

I think this is more that what you would need for starting out in makeup, but variety is good!

Primark Haul | PerfectlyPinkx

Hiya,
I went out shopping in Belfast the other weekend and I planned on only getting a few bits and bobs because I have lost quite a bit of weight since last spring and I was in bad need of some new clothes and for once we were getting really hot weather like 14-16 degrees!

I went into the Primark and I wasn't expecting to be as much as there was! To be completely honest I could I spent over £100 in there! But I limited myself because as you know I am going on a shopping weekend to Liverpool with my best friend Meghan!

The first thing I lifted was the nude pumps and I just thought they were lovely and smart looking for £6!

I then went and grabbed a pair of the jeans! I really just live in Primark jeans! I wear them more than my Asos jeans which are amazing!

I then saw the tops! Tops and blouses are my greatest fashion weakness! I saw this vest top and I loved straight away! The colour of it is gorgeous, it's so original and so not a colour that I would normally go for! Which I dont normally tend to do, because I like to stick to what I know!
I also picked up two basic t-shirts. A pink one and a grey one. Because 1. The are ridiculously comfy and 2. It's me we're talking about here if I see something pink I will need to buy it! Hehehe!

I don't think I have mentioned this before but I love Marvel with all my heart! Although if I had to chose between Disney and Marvel I couldn't possibly! More to the point I had to get this top because 'Avenger Age of Ultron' is coming out to cinemas in less than a month and I am beyond excited! But not to be too over the top and get like a full costume (which I would never unless it was Halloween) I thought this would casually, subtly but stylishly be appropriate!

Just before I left I grabbed a pair of tights because Primark tights are essential to every girl!

Before I left to go home I was going past Superdrug and I noticed that they had an offer of 3 for 2 so how could I not go in!
One of my many nieces was having a sleep in my room and I had all of my MUA lipstick out ready to photograph to do my lipstick collection. I then walk into to my room and there is lipstick everywhere! On the walls, on the curtains, EVERYWHERE! But I couldn't help but laugh about the situation!

If there is one thing anyone and everyone knows about me is that I never stop laughing! I laugh when I am nervous, scared, awkward, happy, sad. I am always laughing!
So of course I had to replace them and re purchase them! I got 'Tulip' and 'Pinky Pout' and they aren't my favorites of the collection but I do still like them! I also got a Elctro Baby Lips in 'Strike a Rose' but I forgot to put it in the picture. When I purchased the makeup I got a free makeup bag! Which is great because you can never have too many!

Lastly I just got the my favorite shampoo and conditioner. I like to use the Elvive Fibrology range but I also like mixing them about with other parts of the Elvive range too!

MUA Product Review | 'Heaven and Earth' Palette x

Everyone knows my love for MUA, but I mean like how could you not love it. It's inexpensive, its good quality, so in reality it's everything you want in makeup.

I really love the MUA eye shadows, I spoke about them in my travel makeup bag post. I bought this palette and 'Shade 3' on the same day and these product are what started my makeup collection.

MUA Eye Shadow Palette 'Heaven and Earth'

Honestly I couldn't say anything bad about this palette, the pigmentation is amazing and if you are like me and you are too outrageous with your makeup and you like to stick to the basic golds, browns and creams then this is right up your street.
I would tend to grab for this more often that I would grab for my 'Naked 2' palette. I'm not going to lie I adore my Naked 2 palette but I love it so much that I don't want to destroy it and use it all up because it was so much money. I love this palette too but just knowing that once I use this up I can go to Superdrug and buy another one for just £4, like that is incredible.
I will be doing a makeup starter kit post soon and this is in it! #sneekpeek

When I am doing my makeup with this palette I like to use 'Catacomb' on my lid (4th from the right). It's a lovely taupe type colour with some shimmer. I then like to put 'Aurora' in my inner corner (1st on the left) it is just a basic off white shade. Then to give to it some definition I like to put 'Amazonian Bronze' in my crease (2nd to the left) I don't really know how to describe this colour because it is a dark brown with a warm undertone but when it is blended it turns to this gorgeous light brown with a little shimmer.

I would definitely recommend this palette to anyone whether you are starting out in makeup or not but I would for sure go and check it out.

THIS IS NOT SPONSORED (like MUA would sponsor me hehehe)

Evening Routine | PerfectlyPinkx

I love the evening, it's my favorite time of day because once I have done my homework and revision it's all relaxing. I usually get my homework and revision done straight after school so it frees up my evenings.
Now that I don't have any clubs to go to I can really do what ever I fancy that evening.
Although I only do this routine every other night because it is a bit much in my opinion for every night.

The first thing I do I do a major skin cleanse this consists of washing, moisturiser and face masks.
  •  Firstly I wash my face with the 'Simple Moisturising Facial Wash' I don't really like this face wash to be honest, I got it to try out but I really wouldn't recommend it but what I would recommend is the 'Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2-in-1 Wash and Face Mask'. This face wash is my favorite ever, it is much more moisturising and I find that it is a so much better at deep cleaning too.
  •  The next thing I do is exfoliate my face I really like the 'Simple Smoothing Facial Scrub' I think it really does the job and because it is for sensitive skin it really is so gentle on your skin.
  • Following up the exfoliating I then do a face mask I really, really, really love this product it is the 'Soap and Glory No Clogs Allowed'  self heating mask it is so nice I really could go on for hours about this product but I will definitely talk more about it in another blog but trust me if you can buy this product for sure GO BUY IT!
  •  Fourthly I moisturize I like to use the 'Simple Rich Moisturiser' and the 'Soap and Glory Puff Eye Attack' eye cream. I have spoke about the both of these products in my 'Travel Essentials' blog post so if you want to know anything about them go check them over there.
  • Lastly I take my spot treatment its called 'Zap Zap Zap' I am not sure what brand this is but what I can tell you is that it has worked wonders for my skin. Honestly you put the tiniest little bit on and you wake up in the morning and the blemish/spot is very unnoticeable

I then take and wash my hair and wash my hair. I do often change my shampoo and conditioner just so my hair doesn't get used to one product because I have naturally oily hair which is extremely annoying but I have found this combination the best!
  • The shampoo I like to use is the 'L'Oreal Elvive Repairing Shampoo' this does exactly what is claims reduces split end and repairs hair.
  • I then use the 'L'Oreal Elvive Thickening Conditioner' again this product has done everything it has claimed. My hair is now thicker and healthier than ever.
Now this is the relaxing part..

    • When the bath is running I like to add some 'I Love Raspberry and Blackberry Bubble Bath' if there is one thing you will get to know about me is that I love RASPBERRY! Anything that smells or tastes like raspberry I'm in for it.
    • My favorite body wash is the 'Soap and Glory Clean Girls' it is very moisturizing bit mainly I like it because of the smell it is such a pretty smell.
    • I then take a dollop of 'Soap and Glory Flake Away' this body scrub is amazing before this I avoided using them as often as possible because they always really hurt my skin but this is much lighter but makes the job a lot nicer.
    • Lastly when I get out of the bath I put a little bit of 'The Daily Smooth' body lotion on. This smells smells like the body wash. It is very rich in texture but it's not sticky.

The last thing I do is.. Jump into bed and watch some Netflix. My favorite show at the minute is 'Suits' it is so good. I started watching it when 'Pretty Little Liars' stopped. Then I got obsessed with it, like can we just take a moment.. Patrick Adams, like what is life without him.
That's my 'Evening Routine'.

Make Up Academy | Product Review

I have a bit of an obsession  with MUA cosmetics and it was only recently that I discovered the MUA single eye shadows because before I had only ever used the lipsticks which I love so much.

These eye shadows are insanely pigmented and I love them so very very much. I would definitely recommend getting at least one of these because they are only £1 which is amazing for the quality it.

This is the MUA Pro Brow Kit and again great product. I haven't used this too much because it is a powder and personally I like to use pencil when I actually fill my brows in. Normally I don't fill in my eyebrows on a daily bases. Although if you want to start with something for your brows that isn't to heavy then I would strongly advise to check this out because it is only £3.

I don't really know how I feel about this palette. I like the the second one from the left on the bottom for my eyebrows sometimes because it is a matte palette. I also enjoy using the third one from the left on the top for basic eyeshadow looks.

Travel Essentials | PerfectlyPinkx

My Travel Essentials x

I am going to Liverpool in May as my birthday present from my best friend Meghan. I so excited, Meghan, her Mummy and myself are going for a shopping weekend. I am packing carry-on only because I think that all I really need.

In my liquids bag I have:
  • Soap and Glory Puffy Eye Attack- amazing product.
  • Carex Strawberry Laces Hand Gel- I love this hand sanitizer it smells so nice for a hand gel because usually they smell awful but this one smells genuinely like strawberry laces.
  • Simple Rich Moisturiser- this is just a basic moisturiser that I like to use because it is hypoallergenic. I just decanted it into a small travel sized tub from Boots.
  • Nivea Pearl and Beauty Roll-on Deodorant- I really love this product it really does what it says it does it lasts all day and a plus it smell really nice.
  • Beauty Formula On the Spot Treatment- I picked this product up by accident. I am glad now that I did because I really love this product it actually does help clear your skin.
  • Soap and Glory Hand Food- this hand cream is like no other. I thought I was Body Shop hand cream girl but then I tried this and I think the main reason why I like it so much is because of the smell it just smells like marshmallows.
  • Tanya Burr Lipgloss 'Aurora'- this is a great lip gloss. I love the smell of it and the pay off of colour. Great all round product.
  • Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation- This is probably my favorite foundation ever. It is the perfect coverage and colour for me.
  •  Rimmel Wonder'full Argan oil Mascara- this gives you everything you would want in a mascara. Volume, length and condition.
  • Colgate Whitening Toothpaste- Standard toothpaste nothing special.

In my Makeup Bag I have:
  • Zoella Beauty Bag 'eyes'- I love this bag it is such a bag makeup bag and I use it for everything.
  • Sleek Blusher Trio 'Pink Lemonade'- I use this blush trio everyday when I am doing my makeup. The colors and simply gorgeous.
  • Naked 2 Palette- I honestly adore this eyeshadow palette, the pigmentation of the eye shadows is outstanding.
  • MUA Lipsticks 'Shades 7 and 2'- I can't believe that these lipstick are only £1, they are by far my favorite lipsticks ever.
  • Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker 'Bashful'- I like this product so much that I went and bought three more colors of it the next day.
  • Mac Mineralize Skin-finish- The only powder I use.
  • Balmi lip balm 'Raspberry'- Anything that smells or tastes like raspberry I will love it.
  • Vaseline 'Queen Bee'- Vaseline is Vaseline is Vaseline. Who doesn't like Vaseline.
  • MUA Eye Shadow 'Chamoisee'- I don't understand how this is more pigmented that the Naked palette.
  • Rimmel Kohl pencil Eyeliner 'Black'- It's a pencil eyeliner.
  • Brushes- All my brushes are either: Real technique, Primark, Superdrug or Ebay and my eyelash curlers are from Makeup Revolution.
